Spring Camp: Final Day

We started off today with about twenty minutes of sectional time so that we could bond before the season. It seemed like every section was having a blast. After sectional time we gathered in the band room for a quick pow-wow and then split up (winds, percussion, and guard) to work on pre-season exercises. The winds went with Nick Benson, our program coordinator, to learn more stretches and posture exercises, which came with a lot of French words. Before being dismissed we broke up into sections one last time and received a wrap-up speech from our head drum major, Jack.

Spring camp has been very successful, and we have already improved tremendously as a band. I am looking forward to summer sectionals followed by band camp at Fort Flagler in August. Hopefully you all enjoy the summer and are pumped up for the season. Don't forget to be practicing your instruments so we can arrive at band camp ready for success!
